Company

A Canadian brand, built for the Canadian landscape.

Luna Nova is a Canadian landscape lighting brand. We saw the opportunity to bring specifier-grade die-cast brass fixtures to the Canadian trade - engineered against the climate our installers actually work in, and sold exclusively through authorized contractors and distributors so the work is installed correctly the first time.

Founded and headquartered in Ontario, Luna Nova exists to give Canadian landscape contractors a brass-grade fixture line designed for the climate they actually work in. We engineer professional-grade solid brass fixtures specifically for the rigorous demands of the Canadian landscape trade.

Why brass

Brass is the right material for outdoor fixtures that need to survive year seventeen, not just year one. It naturally patinas and develops character; it does not corrode through. We pair it with marine-grade hardware, double silicone O-rings, beryllium copper sockets, and convex tempered lenses - choices that aren't visible in a daytime photograph but determine whether the system still works the day the property sells.

Every Luna Nova fixture is built to our specification in solid die-cast brass, finished to our standards, and warranted under the Luna Nova name. That spec discipline is what gives our authorized installers something they can stand behind for the full life of a property.

What we build for

Solid brass construction

Marine-grade brass castings, finished to our standards. Brass develops a natural patina with age and gains character over time.

Precision optics

Beautiful light is the whole point. Our fixtures deliver warm, consistent, high-CRI illumination with controlled beam shaping to minimize glare.

Built for the pro

Every detail — from extra-long lead wires to heavy-duty toothed knuckles — is designed to save installers time in the field. Faster installs, longer-lasting work.

Why we sell through dealers only

Landscape lighting is a system, not a fixture. Voltage drop, beam aim, transformer sizing, hub placement, and night-walk balancing are install-time decisions that determine whether the work looks professional in year one and still works in year ten. We don't sell direct because we can't guarantee any of those decisions over the internet. Our authorized contractors and distributors have been trained on the line and stand behind their installs.

Built for the Canadian climate

Canadian landscape lighting works through freeze-thaw cycling, ice expansion, snow equipment, road salt exposure, and the long, dark months when good lighting carries the visual identity of a property. Every choice in the Luna Nova spec - from wall thickness to gasket compound to the working temperature range printed on the spec sheet - is made against that envelope.

What we publish

Every fixture page on this site lists operating voltage, working temperature, IP rating, certifications, lamp type, finishes, and warranty. Where IES files exist, they are available for download. Where CRI and R9 data exists, they are published. For housing-only fixtures, we attribute lumen and beam data to the manufacturer of the chosen lamp rather than re-claiming it ourselves. We don't surface specifications we can't back with tested or attributed data.
